Some of the beliefs and patterns shaping your life were learned a long time ago.

They may have protected you. Helped you belong. Helped you become capable, dependable, or safe.

And they may not fit anymore.

Rewriting the Spell™ is a guided self-reflection workbook for noticing what has been shaping your choices, understanding what it once made possible, and deciding what you want to carry forward.

Something can make sense and still be ready to change.

Maybe you keep saying yes when you mean no.

Maybe stopping feels harder than continuing.

Maybe you question yourself long after you already know the answer.

Maybe you have become very good at carrying things that were never entirely yours.

Or maybe you cannot fully name what is happening yet.

You just know:

something is off.

Rewriting the Spell gives you a place to look at that pattern without immediately judging it, fixing it, or forcing yourself into a better version of the same life.

You get curious first.

The practice

Instead of asking, “What is wrong with me?” this workbook asks you to look more closely.

You move through six steps:

  1. Name the old spell
Notice the belief, habit, story, or pattern you want to examine.
  2. Honor the function
Understand what it once protected, provided, or made possible.
  3. Name the cost
Recognize what continuing the pattern is asking of you now.
  4. Release the pattern
Loosen your hold on what no longer fits.
  5. Rewrite the truth
Choose something more honest and useful to practice instead.
  6. Anchor the shift
Give the new truth somewhere to live in your actual life.

There is more than one way into the work.

You do not have to think, feel, process, or reflect in one particular way.

Throughout the workbook, you can approach the prompts through four different paths:

Witchy
For intuition, symbolism, ritual, and meaning.

Natured
For grounding, rhythm, cycles, and steadiness.

Threaded
For story, reflection, relationship, and connection.

Intellectual
For clarity, structure, language, and reframing.

Choose one.

Move between them.

Leave something blank if it does not speak to you.

There is no right path. Only the one that meets you where you are today.

This might be for you if…

You have spent years being capable.

You know how to keep things moving.

You have probably already done quite a bit of thinking about yourself.

But knowing the pattern and knowing what to do with it are not always the same thing.

This workbook may be useful if you are curious about:

  • why the same pattern keeps showing up
  • what you learned to believe about care, worth, responsibility, rest, or change
  • what those beliefs once helped you survive or accomplish
  • what they are costing you now
  • what you would rather practice instead

You do not need to know your answer before you begin.

Curiosity is enough.

What this is. And what it isn’t.

Rewriting the Spell is:

  • a self-held reflection practice
  • a way to name patterns
  • a tool for reclaiming choice
  • a place to explore what still belongs

It is not:

  • therapy
  • trauma treatment or processing
  • crisis support
  • diagnosis
  • a promise of instant change

You decide how deeply to engage.

You set the pace.

You choose what feels true.

You don’t have to become someone new.

The point isn’t to reject the person who learned the old spell.

That version of you may have been doing something intelligent.

Protecting something.

Making something possible.

The question is simply: Does this still belong?

And if it doesn’t: What would you like to practice instead?
